Determining Proper Grip Position:
Standard Length Putter. The grip of the EXACTOR Putter is placed so that it will accommodate where your hands naturally are held on the shaft, thereby giving you a smoother, more coordinated motion while putting. To determine "your" length putter:
1) Place the sole of the putter, or other club (or simply use a yardstick), on the surface behind a ball or marker; 2) Assume the stance you feel most comfortable with; 3) Place your hands on the shaft in a loose-grip position and slide them down the shaft until you reach the place of "your choice"; 4) Once you have determined the proper grip position, then have someone measure from the sole of the putter up to one inch above the hinge of the leading hand (left hand for a right-handed golfer); That will be the ideal length for a Standard Length putter.
Mid-Length (Belly-Type) Putter. It's not difficult to get a correct measurement for this type putter; either of the below methods will get it done:
A) 1) Assume your putting stance with a standard putter or other club soled behind a ball or marker; 2) Place your hands on the shaft in a "loose grip"; then slide them down the shaft until you've reached the place of choice; 3) Have someone measure the distance from the sole of the club on the same line as the shaft to the point on your body where you want to anchor the grip; 4) Again, for most people the same thing can be done using a yardstick as stated above.
The Mid-Length (Belly-Type) Putter comes with a Long one-Piece Grip. Currently we are using the popular WINN Grip).
The Long Putter comes with two-piece grip.
